Auckland art dealer Anna Miles comes to Christchurch for one week only showing ceramics by Richard Stratton, photographs by Allan McDonald and paintings by Adrienne Vaughan.
Anna Miles has a background as an art critic, curator and lecturer. In 2003 she established her gallery after deciding it would be more critical to be a champion than a critic. The Gallery represents artists at all stages of their careers including exceptional makers of ceramics, jewellery and other objects. For her upcoming Christchurch exhibition at The National, Anna will present ceramics by Richard Stratton, photographs by Allan McDonald and paintings by Adrienne Vaughan.
Caroline Billing of The National, who presented an exhibition at Anna's Gallery in Auckland earlier this year, is delighted to host Anna and her artists: "local galleries become known for showing particular groups of artists. This is an opportunity for a respected Auckland gallery to present work that is not well known in Christchurch."
